For those who live in Northeast Ohio and can spell 'golf', Gary Trivisonno, or "Triv", needs no introduction. His stellar play has earned him top recognition in the PGA, in addition to earning Player of the Year in the Northern Ohio PGA section seven times. On January 1, 2005, Gary brought his talents to Strongsville as the new operator of Strongsville Golf, the local driving range founded in the early 1970's.
Gary has been golfing since he was nine years old and has been a professional golfer for over 30 years. He began his career playing on the PGA tour from 1981-82 and has worked at some of Cleveland's top country clubs and golf courses. Some of his career highlights:
- Finished 15th in Dick Sporting Goods Open Senior Tour section, 2009
- Participated in U.S. Open at Oakland Hills Country Club 1996, shot 69 1st round and was tied for 5th place after 1st day; shot rounds of 75, 77, 77
- Player of the Year in NOPGA section years: 1991, 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000
- Ohio Open Champion 1979
- Ohio Amateur Champion 1977
- Match Play Champion, NOPGA 1996, 1998
- Ohio Publinks Champion, 1973, 1977, 1978
- Section Champion, NOPGA 1990, 1996
- Played on PGA tour 1981-82
- Finished 4th in Bank of Boston Classic, behind Jack Renner, Scott Simpson & Tom Kite
- Played on South African & Asian Tours
- Lowest score records:
- 61 - Tam O'Shanter, Canton, OH Hills Course
- 61 - University Golf Course, Tuscaloosa, Alabama
